YOUNG GEOGRAPHERS PROJECT
STARTING IN JANUARY 2021
A project aimed at engaging students from both black and minority ethnic groups with geographical discourse that is both up to date and relevant to the changing world around them.
Introducing to them the breadth and depth of geography at a younger age to encourage an interest in not only progressing with the subject at GCSE and Alevel but also to inspire an interest in their local environment by applying what they have learnt.
Meet Abazz, our Outreach Officer. Her main aims are increasing accessibility to the discipline for aspiring black students to take up, learn and engage with the breadth and depth of geography.
Abazz is currently a 3rd year geography undergrad at UCL, specialising in Urban and Architectural Geography. Her research methods include blends of physical and human geographical analysis techniques which coincides with her effort to always contextualise research outside of academic and theoretical spaces.
