OUR STORY
It all started with a tweet.
From here, Francisca created the name ‘Black Geographers’ and started looking into the reasons why the number of black people in Geography is low.
Francisca created a Instagram and Twitter for BG and started following various Geography-based accounts in the hope of finding other black geographers and creating a community for black geographers to network and connect.
Our founder
Francisca is currently a BSc Geography student. She has a fascination for natural disasters and hopes to do a MSc in Disaster Management & Resilience, focusing her research on disasters in Southeast Asia.
